27 Feb Start with Why.
This week I’ve been listening to a book called “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek. I bloody LOVE Simon Sinek. If you haven’t heard of him then I strongly suggest you go and watch his TEDTalk on the same topic and look up his recent interview where he talks about the problems with millennials.
Listening to the book has forced me to think about why I’m doing what I’m doing and what I really want from working in the industry I’m in and the truth is I’m still formulating that fully. There are two threads, one is geared towards providing good quality homes for single parents in good school catchment areas and the other is about helping women step out of the boxes. It is unusual for me to be unable to express my thoughts and desires, I consider myself a pretty darn good communicator but at the moment I feel like this second goal and this “why” is at the back of my head and it’s waiting for another piece of the puzzle before I can visualize it and express it. I want to help women fully express themselves and reach their truest potential and be beautifully bad-arse all at the same time.
“Give a woman a chance to be her very best self and you watch her change the lives of thousands around the world.”
